NSE Witnesses 52-Week Highs for 48 Stocks
As an aftermath of purchasing in frontline bluechip counters, NSE benchmark Nifty index was trading 114.80 points higher at 12378.35 as of Monday.
48 stocks managed to touch a 52 week high on NSE. This was inclusive of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, Tata Communications, Voltas, Cera Sanitaryware, NCL Industries, Asian Paints, APL Apollo Tubes, Tube Investments of India, Amara Raja Batteries, Adani Gas, Dabur India, Divi’s Laboratories, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank and JSW Steel.
In all, the Nifty50 index saw 40 shares trading in green and by the afternoon trade about 10 were trading in red.
While SBI, Adani Portz SEZ, Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki, Cipla were trading in red, Divis Laboratories, BPCL, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank turned out to be the highest gainers on the Nifty 50 index.
At 42309.22 points, BSE Sensex was trading 416.16 points higher. Selling could be seen in sectors of Trading, Agro Processing, Hospitals and Allied Services, Pharmaceuticals and Fertiliser. In the sectors was Diversified Airlines, Electric and Electronics, Beverages and Alcohols and IT-Hardware traders hoarded positions to a large extent.
